It is the prevention work in society. Activism deals with symptoms and is important.....And Humane Ed is the preventative work. I was co-founder of the Institute for Humane Education in Maine...with Zoe Weil.
Thanks for stopping by, Rae. I've met Zoe a few times at various conferences and very much admire what the two of you built. We are doing some very interesting work in Vietnam where the concept of Humane Ed is very new indeed. Its been a great ride and very rewarding to work with the young people there!
I love what you are doing. I would love to get the word out about the humane party and Kairos.
Would also like to find out how to be updated about your Vietnam program and other international outreach. I will be heading to the middle east to train teachers this spring. There we go...planting those seeds! Thanks for your wonderful work! Gratefully, Rae
Thanks, Rae. I appreciate your kind comments. I'm a bit of a one-man show on this side of the pond, so I do find it hard to keep things updated! I'm fortunate that I work with youth in Vietnam that are on top of things more than I am! I plan on presenting at the upcoming APHE conference in Walnut Creek in March, at the HSUS Animal Expo in May, at TAFA in July and the AR Conference in August...maybe our paths will cross?
Best,
Bob
